Adult Wellness

Whether you come to the Wellness Center to achieve weight loss, endurance, definition, or muscle-building, the professional staff at the Moultrie YMCA can help determine what aerobic activity and strength program will be most effective for you.
The Wellness Center is for adult use any time the YMCA is open. 

There are wellness coaches on duty the following hours to assist you with all of your needs.

Monday - Friday 5:30 am - 9:30 pm

Saturday 9:00 am -  6:00 pm

Sunday 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS

Comprehensive test results include percentage body fat, lean body weight, weight to lose, and recommended weight.  This is an excellent way to measure the success of your exercise program. FREE TO MEMBERS

PERSONAL TRAINING

Invest in yourself and receive one-on-one attention with a personal trainer. Our knowledgeable trainers can maximize your results and motivate you to take your workout to the next level. Personal training packages can be purchased at the member service desk.

Personal Training Fees - 60 minute sessions
6 sessions - $120
12 sessions - $192

Partner Training
6 sessions/2 people - $180
12 sessions/2 people - $280

HEALTH TRACK

The Moultrie YMCA has designed a 12-week member-based program that will help keep you on the right track to reaching and maintaining your health goals. The program involves weekly weigh-ins and accountability sessions with one of our Wellness Coordinators and much, much more. It’s time to invest in yourself!

GROUP EXERCISE

We offer a variety of classes each week for those that are motivated by a group. The energy you’ll get from our awesome instructors and our fun-loving participants will keep you coming back each time for more!  With over 40 group exercise classes a week on land and over 9 classes in our indoor heated pool, you will be sure to find a workout that suits your needs.  All classes are COED and open to any member 10 years and older.

SilverSneakers

Healthways SilverSneakers® Fitness Program
Muscular Strength & Range of Movement
This is a low intensity exercise program designed for older adults to have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
Recommended for beginner participants. *All SilverSneakers classes are open to SilverSneaker participants and other Y members.

Healthways SilverSneakers® Fitness Program
CardioFit
Get up & go with an aerobics class for you-safe, heart-healthy and gentle on the joints. The workout includes easy-to-follow low-impact movement, and upper-body strength, abdominal conditioning, stretching and relaxation exercises designed to energize your active lifestyle.
Recommended for beginner participants. *All SilverSneakers classes are open to SilverSneaker participants and other Y members.

Pilates
This modern form of exercise works the deeper muscles to achieve efficient & graceful movement, improve alignment, strengthen back and abdominal muscles, and sharpen your mind/body connection. 
Recommended for most participants.

Yoga
A mind/body class designed to improve posture, flexibility, reduce neck & shoulder tension, improve athletic performance, prevent injuries, decrease back pain, and ultimately reduce stress.
Recommended for most participants.

Introductory Step n’ Sculpt
Are you new to Step? Try our intro to Step class. A step aerobics class combined with sculpting exercises created to slowly increase your cardiovascular endurance and muscle tone.
Recommended for most participants.

10-10-10
This class is designed to hit each major part of your body in 30 minutes; 10 minutes of upper body exercises, 10 minutes of lower body exercise and 10 minutes of abdominal exercises.
Recommended for most participants.

ZUMBA
ZUMBA is an unbelievably fun class that combines irresistible music with dynamic dance and exercise moves that will be sure to burn calories and shed pounds.
Recommended for most participants.

Cycle n' Sculpt
In this combination class, instructors will lead you on an indoor ride designed to improve your fitness on a variety of levels – endurance, strength and interval training, concluding with a strength training portion to complete your total body workout. Need another cycling option try *Express Cycle: A 30 minute class giving you all the benefits of cycling in a short amount of time.
Recommended for most participants.

Kickboxing
This basic class uses combinations of punches, jabs and kicks to give you a total body workout. Core training and Flexibility are included as well.
Recommended for most participants. 

Step n’ Sculpt
If you want a good, solid workout, give step a try. A step aerobics class combined with sculpting exercises created to increase cardiovascular endurance and muscle tone.
Recommended for most participants.

Express Step
Give your step workout a boost. Try this 30-minute class designed to increase your cardiovascular endurance utilizing basic and advanced step combinations and choreography.
Recommended for intermediate to advanced participants.

Cardio Power
Experience this high energy cardiovascular workout for a great 45-minute calorie burn! Impact moves like jumping jacks and Ply metrics are incorporated throughout the workout. However, instructor will modify moves for low impact.
Recommended for intermediate to advanced participants.

Cardio Kickboxing
Kick up your kickboxing workout. Participants practice kicks, punches, and combinations designed to increase cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, range of motion and agility.
Recommended for intermediate and advanced participants. 

Aquatic Class Descriptions
There are many benefits to exercising in the water and it is considered to be therapeutic for several physical conditions. Exercise has never felt this good! So bring a swim suit and a towel and enjoy this exhilarating form of exercise.

Walkin’ & Talkin’
This class is simply “water walking” and is done in shallow water.  It is a great alternative to walking on the treadmill and is considered to be the lowest impact class on our entire schedule.
Recommended for most participants.

Water Fitness
It’s time to get wet while you sweat!  Water aerobics is an invigorating way to get your heart rate pumping and your muscles moving!  This class is done in shallow water.
Recommended for most participants.

Deep Water
We have taken water aerobics to the deep end with this fun and motivating workout!  With the assistance of noodles and floating dumbbells, you’ll be able to shape and tone your muscles like never before!
Recommended for most participants.  Must be able to swim.

ZUMBAQUA
You can now experience Latin dance in the water! This class is done in shallow water.
Recommended for most participants.
